Additional Project Highlights

  • The first cabins have already arrived on-site. Nearly all of the supports for the first two sections have been installed.

  • The cable car system will span a total length of 3,660 meters and is designed to transport up to 3,000 passengers per hour in each direction. Passengers will be safely transported across Varanasi in modern panoramic cabins designed by Studio F. A. Porsche.

  • Each of the nearly 150 cabins will accommodate ten passengers and travel at a speed of six meters per second.

  •

Varanasi – A City with History
The project is particularly noteworthy as it is being implemented in Varanasi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. For thousands of years, Varanasi has been a major pilgrimage destination and stands as a symbol of culture, history, and spirituality in India.

Outlook
The cable car system will not only alleviate traffic in Varanasi but will also enhance connectivity to central urban areas, providing passengers with an innovative transportation experience.
